Kirsty has a background in engineering having spent 20 years in the petrochemical industry so her path is slightly different than others in this industry. This gives her a unique insight and a more challenging (at times) approach.

Kirsty has been in private practice for over 5 years now and has been working with various charities and employee assistance programmes in that time too.

She has experience with a variety of clients including clients who have suffered loss, experiencing depression and anxiety. She has experience in working with clients with PTSD and C-PTSD. She has supported clients with late diagnosis of autism and ADHD, cancer diagnosis and also end of life support.

Kirsty is a warm, caring individual who "takes you as I find you" when you meet. She doesn’t have an agenda within sessions, only that she meets you right where you are and listens in a caring, empathetic and non judgmental way. She has a relaxed style of being and aims to make you feel safe and supported during your time together. She is passionate about working with people who desire change, and loves it when light bulb moments happen. She draws of lot of her working style from gestalt learnings along with learnings from Peter Levine, Janina Fisher and Polyvagal theory.

She offers SSP(Stephen Porges Safe and Sound Protocol) and EMDR which can have a transformative effect on the nervous system and its reaction to trauma.

Kirsty is an exceptional listener - she gave me her full attention during every session and really worked to understand my thoughts and feelings from my perspective.

She asked insightful questions that helped me analyse myself and my situation in new ways.

What I appreciated most was how Kirsty just seemed to "get it." She has a deep emotional intelligence that allowed her to pick up on my unspoken thoughts and emotions.

I left therapy feeling empowered to create the life I want for myself.
