Fa-eeza Kasmed

Psychologist based in Bali

About me

I am a Counselling Psychologist from South Africa, and my registration has also been recognized in Australia. Growing up surrounded by people struggling with mental illness and later struggling with my own, led me to psychology. I became passionate about finding my way out of depression and anxiety and then wanted to share this with others. My journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of various mental health challenges, and I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their unique experiences.

My Approach

My approach is rooted in the philosophy of 'ubuntu', which emphasizes our interconnectedness and the importance of community. I believe that forming authentic, genuine relationships is essential in the therapeutic process. I am committed to collaborating with you, ensuring that you play an active role in your healing journey—whether we are addressing addiction-related struggles, anxiety, relationship issues, or personal growth.

I tailor my approach to each individual and use a variety of therapeutic modalities. However, building trust and creating a safe, compassionate space are at the core of my practice. It is equally important to foster an honest environment where we can challenge behaviours or thought patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we will reshape these into something that lightens your burden and brings you closer to the life you envision.

Some sessions may focus on storytelling and deep listening, allowing you to express and process your feelings and experiences. Other times, we may take a more active approach, practicing helpful coping skills or new behaviours, role-playing communication, or engaging in activities that gently push your comfort zone. Throughout this journey, you’ll have someone by your side—devoted to guiding you toward healing and personal growth.
