About me

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working with children, teenagers, and adults of all ages. Alongside my private practice, I currently serve as the school counsellor at Pinewood School, where I support young people navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

I have a particular interest and expertise in working with clients experiencing anorexia and bulimia, body dysmorphia, self-harm, low self-esteem, and anxiety or panic attacks. My work is rooted in empathy, understanding, and respect for each person’s unique experiences and story.

Whether you are struggling with a specific issue or seeking a space to better understand yourself, I aim to provide a safe, calm, and confidential environment where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of the difficulties you face.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative, combining person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) models. This means I adapt my way of working to suit the individual needs of each client — no two sessions or therapeutic journeys are the same

• From a person-centred perspective, I aim to offer warmth, acceptance, and empathy so that clients can explore their emotions freely.

• Through a psychodynamic lens, we might look at past experiences and how they influence current patterns of thought and behaviour.

• With CBT techniques, I can help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and develop more constructive ways of thinking and responding.

I offer both short-term, goal-focused therapy and longer-term open-ended work, depending on what feels most useful for you. Counselling is not about being told what to do — it’s about working collaboratively to understand yourself and move forward in the way that feels right for you.

Qualifications & Experience

• Foundation Degree (Level 5) in Psychotherapy and Therapeutic Counselling
• Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

I have been running my private practice for six years, working with a diverse range of clients and issues. Before this, I spent three years with Young Gloucestershire, providing counselling and emotional support to young people aged up to 22. During this time, I also worked at Ipsum in Swindon, a service offering counselling for adults through NHS referrals.

These experiences have given me a strong foundation in working with both young people and adults, helping clients build resilience, self-awareness, and confidence through times of difficulty and change.
