My Approach
Peter takes a client-centered and collaborative approach to therapy, creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. His work is primarily informed by evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and psychosocial support frameworks. He integrates elements of solution-focused and strengths-based approaches to help clients identify practical coping strategies and build resilience.
Peter also incorporates trauma-informed principles and culturally sensitive practices when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Depending on the client’s needs, he may include behavioural strategies, emotional regulation techniques, and reflective dialogue to support insight and self-understanding. His approach emphasizes collaboration, client autonomy, and gradual progress while supporting individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, and other mental health concerns.
