Impacts of Working as a Humanitarian
I am a licensed social worker, therapist, and expat currently living in Nepal, with previous experience living in East Africa. My personal and professional life are deeply shaped by my lived experience with trauma and my own time as a psychotherapy client, which informs my belief in the healing power of therapy.
Growing up between two very different worlds—a queer community in a mid-sized city and a highly conservative small town—taught me to value nuance, curiosity, and open conversation. As an expat, parent, partner, and clinician, I understand how identity, culture, and life transitions intersect and impact wellbeing.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and Master of Social Work, with advanced training in grief, trauma, attachment, and online counselling. I offer a grounded, compassionate, and relational approach to therapy, particularly well-suited for people navigating change, displacement, and complex emotional experiences.
I specialise in:
• Trauma • Grief • Attachment • Impacts of Working as a Humanitarian • Cross Cultural Adjustment • Faith, Religion and Spirituality • Supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ Community
